Ian Menego is a As a sterile disposables R&D engineer, I am responsible for managing new product development as well as life-cycle engineering design and compliance efforts. As a goal-oriented, customer-focused, results-and-data driven engineer, I am continually looking to develop and improve my skills, while creating products that help diagnose and improve the lives of customers. New product development responsibilities start with prototyping and functional mock-ups to define the product vision, and extend to the creation of CAD models and drawings while leveraging FEA tools to minimize project timelines and project expense spend, with a focus on expanding Bayer's intellectual property portfolio. Once in development, responsibilities range from DFMEA generation, to writing test protocols, and interfacing with supplier management throughout the IQ/OQ/PQ process for tooling and part validation. Life-cycle engineering efforts range from supporting compliance efforts and cost saving opportunities, to serving as technical lead for quality improvement and CAPA investigations.
