Ian Maitland Email & Phone Number | I head up the Business Systems teams, responsible for corporate system application development, business transformational change and systems support, at Leeds Beckett University. The Business Systems team undertake the software development, implementation, integration and support of our corporate information systems such as Student information system, admissions systems, curriculum management, timetabling, estates and space management, finance and HR to name a few. I have worked with our senior management team in development of our IT Strategy and programmes of work. I have strong experience of project portfolio management and resource planning, having successfully delivered many major IT and business change projects. The Business systems team are currently on a journey of change, taking on an agile approach to development with a more Dev Ops structure and utilizing tools to support CI. A new development technology stack is being implemented, using Java based technologies for SIS development and Microsoft technologies such as C# .Net for other development. ITIL best practice are being adopted to for our support model. We are currently undergoing a major IT change programme by re-implementing our Student information system, changing the under lying data model, to support changes in business processes and reporting requirements. We are also under taking a One CRM program starting with our applicant portal to be developed with our technology partners in MS Dynamics and Sharepoint. I have 20 years, experience of management and leadership in IT. My personal interest is in programme management the development of an enterprise architecture practice. When not at work I also enjoy climbing mountains.
