HungYu Tseng Email & Phone Number | I was born and grew up in a civil servant family in Changhua County. Due to my strong interest in science and technology since childhood, I chose Physics as my major in university. After 4 years of Mathematics and Physics training in university, I started my research career in Optoelectronics field. During my MS and Ph.D. careers, my research topics include semiconductor process based nanotechnology and their biomedical applications, vertical-LED, GaN film lift-off process, and the optical properties of surface plasmon coupling of InGaN quantum well/metal nanostructures in GaN LED. After Ph.D. graduation, my first job was a postdoctoral fellow in Research Center for Applied Sciences, Academia Sinica. My research topics there were about the 3D cell microfluidic device fabrication and the fluorescence imaging for investigating organel interactions of living cells. For cell imaging, we had successfully set up a laser Lattice Light Sheet microscopy system which is capable to observe rapid bio-process of living cell organelles. In addition, I also developed a novel microfluidic device which provides an easy way to grow a thick 3D multilayer cell structure in vitro. Such structure has potential applications in biomedical research and drug test. Currently, I work as a RD senior engineer in Source Photonics, Inc. My responsibilities here are related to the research and development of next generation high speed laser diode products for optical communication applications, which include new laser product layout design, new process technology development, as well as performance improvements of current products. Recently, based on my strong interest in AI technology and programming, I learn Python and develop my deep learning skill using Keras module in my free time. Thanks to my strong learning ability and creativity, I am confident I could reach my full potential in AI field sooner than later.
