I started out at Hewett Packard in 1977 (after all, my initials are HP) right out of college (go Broncos!) and enjoyed many different opportunities in production, Quality Assurance, Field Service, Direct Sales, and Channel Sales. For the last 20+ years I have successfully collaborated with diverse companies from coast to coast. I believe some qualities I possess: trustworthy, loyal, and honest (no, I am not an Eagle Scout, but my son is!) have helped aid my success. Having worked at all three levels of the HPE supply chain, (plus recently added Dell experience) I have a great perspective on what’s needed to be successful and profitable in the Channel. My career includes managing channel sales as a Partner Business Manager at HPE, managing Partner Relations as a Business Development Manager at an HPE national reseller, and now at the distributor level as the Channel Sales Manager within Synergy Associates. Prior to the COVID pandemic I traveled nearly every other week, visiting authorized HPE and Dell resellers from coast to coast. Providing program information and sales training, from 1-on-1's to audiences over 100. I've presented a breakout session at HPE Discover, managed booth duty at Discover and other IT conferences, and presented training sessions at sponsored events in Las Vegas and around the country. I’ve presented dozens of Zoom and Teams training sessions and been the featured speaker in many videos extoling the value, features, and benefits of HPE and Dell programs. In the recently announced CRN 2020 Tech Elite, I have communicated from minimal to almost weekly, with 55 of those 250. And of those 55, I've been on-site at 35, most of those multiple times in multiple locations. Plus other resellers and MSPs that did not make the list this year. My goal has always been to be a trusted advisor and a team player helping HPE, plus now Dell, and their Partners find and win business. I have been able to establish long-term business relationships that have become friendships. Other interests: my family, long-distance solo motorcycling (48 states in 9 days),the outdoors (Arctic Ocean was another solo motorcycle ride); old cars (sports, pony and muscle cars – currently have a 1966 Mustang); travel with the family; martial arts, hiking, bicycling, camping, weightlifting, tennis, ping pong, racquetball, and other sports and fitness activities.
