In 1998, I was offered the position of District Specialist with The Williams Companies which purchased Transcontinental Gas. Currently, I am the Operations Supervisor for Penn-Leidy East/Constitution. My district is in the Bear Creek, PA area and has become very busy lately with DOT pipeline upgrades and numerous expansions related to the Marcellus shale. My district currently is responsible for 135 miles of multi-line right of way. To move the natural gas, we have 5 reciprocating Cooper -Bessemer units at 3400 horsepower each. We also use two gas powered turbine units - one at 15,000 horsepower and one at 16,500. 48,500 hp total with another unit scheduled for 2015 (currently under construction). Safety is a top priority at our location and all across the Williams Company. I am responsible for 10 employees and we all work well together. We are proud of our safety record and constantly strive to improve so we can all go home to our families at the end of the day. Retired 6/2/17 exactly 42 years to the day after graduating from high school. 42 years of working should be enough and some jobs were tough.
