Hosam Hegazy Email & Phone Number | I started my research career in 1988 and got the master degree in 1992. This step allowed to have the chance to start my first scientific training and experience for 3 months visiting Experimental Physik V, Leherstule H -J.Kunze at Ruhr Universitaet Bochum, under the Agyptisch- Deutsch bilateral agreement between EAEA, Egypt and International Bearau Forschungszentrum Julich. In October 1994 I started my Experimental work for Ph.D. in a Gas liner Pinch experiment under the supervision of Prof. H J.Kunze EP5, Ruhr Uni. Bochum, Deutschland for about 2.5 year and return my home institute for writing and submitting thesis in Egypt and I defend my Ph.D. in 1998. During my research career uptill now, I had the chance to work in different projects based on different plasma experiments and use different plasma diagnostic techniques. My research activities, interest, and experience concerned these various projects summerized as follows: *.Plasma Experiments: --------------------------------- Pinch Discharge (Z-pinch- Gas Liner pinch), Glow discharge, Arc discharge, Wall Stabilized Plasma Arc, ICP -OES, Thermal Plasma jet, Small Tokamaks "CASTOR, EGYPTOR, TEXTOR, ISTOK, T-10" Laser produced plasmas and related technologies. *.Diagnostic Techniques: ------------------------------------ Optical Emission Spectroscopy (VUV, UV, Visble, IR), Lasers (laser scattering), x-ray diagnostics , Ion collector, Magnetic diagnostics. Intersting Applications: ------------------------------------ - Analytical application of plasmas (Glow Discharge OES, Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy “LIBS”, Arc, Atomic Absorption, ICP-OES, ICPMS, ICP-LA, etc,). - Nanotechnology: Thermal Plasma (Jet and Arc) and Laser Ablation in Synthesis of nano-Materials. - Environmental Applications: Thermal Plasma and waste treatments “Plasma Gasification Technology”.
