He is a Founding Governor of The Podcast Academy, an organization that supports podcasters and advances the medium's cultural merit. Through programs including The Ambies, they celebrate, inspire, and connect creators worldwide, while attracting new audiences to their work. In addition, he is the Founder & Chairperson of the Hernan Lopez Family Foundation, a non-profit organization seeks to promote diversity in leadership through grants, training, and mentorship including a Fellowship now in its fourth year. Lopez previously served on the board of GLAAD, and now serves on the board of the StartOut. A native of Argentina, Lopez moved to Miami in 1997 where he obtained his MBA from the University of Miami. Today, Hernan and his family call Los Angeles their home.
