An engine is defined as the RF & baseband part of the phone, without the extra features typical added by the phone program. Nokia is specifying their own key-components, typical developed by 2 or 3 sub-contractors in parallel. This by specifying what component level requirements is needed to fulfill the engine, phone & general Nokia top level requirements. So my task is to specifying this and managing there R&D progress, evaluate if required progress & performance is seen. Driving, managing and approving the ongoing development for the 3rd part chipset vendor, typical used in Nokia engines. I am finalizing my business administration study at the moment; this has added many new tools, which I only utilize partly in my current position.
