Working in various levels of establishments and different roles, which provides me with an overall view and essential skills of the the industry. I grew an interest in health and fitness, back in 2007, qualifying as a Jazzercise Instructor, where I taught classes for 7 years, also taking up running in my spare time, entering marathons and ultra marathons. I also have my red belt in kick boxing and participate in dance classes. Along with this I am currently studying a nutrition advisory course to help gain knowledge on nutrition, diet, sports nutrition and meal plans. I hope to be able use this knowledge and fitness experience to start a career in assisting others to become fit and healthy. During the months of August 2014 and June 2015 I was going through treatment for breast cancer. I lost my job in November 2014 as the company closed down. Although I was unable to secure a new job, I was still able to maintain a reasonable level of fitness and continued keep up with my running. Since completing treatment and before I was ill, I have raised thousands of pounds for breast cancer now and cancer research uk. I have been involved in both charities during race for life campaigns and breast cancer now, the last one launch and various other campaigns. This experience has made me more determined to live a healthy lifestyle and encourage others to do the same. Currently am working as an event manager for a catering company while I gain more knowledge in the health and fitness industry.
