In 2010 I successfully defended my thesis a KI, wherafter I went for a postdoc period at Centre d'immunologie Marseille-Luminy. My focus was on the evaluation of novel strategies for allergen-specific immunotherapy using nanotechnology, and I continued with those studies when returning to KI. After experiences at Omega Pharma I gained interest in medical devices and dermatology, whereafter I continued my reserach career with focus on human skin microbiome and host-microbe interactions involving extracellular vesicles and their involvement in atopic eczema. At Sigrid Therapeutics I was working with the development of a medical devices, and at the moment I am working as a scientist at Pelago Bioscience. During my time in research and industry I have gained much knowledge in organizing, planning and communicating research. I have extensive lab experience involving primary human cell cultures, human ex vivo skin, various immunoassays, cellular imaging and histology. I am used to work in a team, but also independently to achieve the expected goals.
