Helen Beard Email & Phone Number | Helen taught in mainstream education for twelve years before a back injury in 1990 when she chose to study Reflexology with Ann Gillanders, qualifying with the British School of Reflexology in 1991. In 1993, she became registered as a Healer with the Silver Cord Healing Association. As her practice became busier, Helen had to make a choice between teaching and therapy. Therapy won the day, and Helen became a full time therapist in 1995. She subsequently studied Shiatsu-Do at the British School of Shiatsu-Do, graduating in 1997. In 1998, Helen trained with Patricia Morrell in the Morrell Technique, a light touch Reflexology, and is currently one the very few people in the world qualified in Morrell Aqua-Touch. More recently, Helen has developed an interest in Vibrational Medicine and is training in the practice and application of S.C.E.N.A.R. therapy. In recent years, Helen has combined her therapeutic and educational roles in a number of schools of Complementary Therapy both in the UK and abroad. Specialties: Reflexology - practice and tuition. A gentle alternating pressure therapy to the recipient's feet, hands or ears. A non-invasive holistic therapy treating the recipient as a whole person physically,mentally and emotionally Shiatsu A therapy which strives to redress the energy balance within the meridian system. During treatment, the therapist applies pressure to the meridian system (or to specific points along the meridians) in combination with gentle stretches.
