Hatem Alameri Email & Phone Number | Dr. Hatem Al Ameri is the Manager of the Health Professional Licensing Department at Health Authority Abu Dhabi, and an associate professor of Medicine at the United Arab Emirates University. He is also oversight Medical Education and Health Professionals examination at Health Authority Abu Dhabi. Through his work at the Health Authority, Dr. Al Ameri has co-founded the TANSEEQ program, the first centralized Emirate-wide residency match program and the first international partnership with the NRMP-I, pioneered the signing of the ACGME-I/HAAD Memorandum of Understanding, and overseen the development of multiple regulatory standards in graduate medical education (GME). In addition to his work in GME, as the manager of health professional licensing at HAAD, he is responsible for the oversight of all continuous medical education/continuous professional development activities in Abu Dhabi as well as licensing examinations for Abu Dhabi health professionals. Dr. Al Ameri is also a member of several local and regional academic committees including the Emirati board committee and the Arab Board committees, Abu Dhabi Healthcare Workforce Planning, and many others. He was the previous Chairman of the Department of Academic Affairs, at Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi between 2007 and 2009 where he oversaw all residency training programs at this tertiary care center. Dr Al Ameri completed his Pulmonary Medicine fellowship training and Internal Medicine residency training from McGill University in 2002 and 2000 respectively. He has received several academic awards and has authored multiple publications in the field of pulmonary medicine. Most recently, Dr. Al Ameri has been appointed as chief editor of the Emirates Medical Journal, the official journal of the Emirates Medical Association.
