Subsequently, I was dubbed the "neutral" in my family due to my unbiased and peacebuilding approach to mediating disputes. My passion for reconciling relations between family members and friends ignited a desire to pursue a career that would allow me to employ these skills to assist others. Today, my role as a legal assistant allows me to provide vital support to legal practitioners working to ameliorate the situations of many people seeking legal recourse to issues they are confronting. From interfacing with clients, drawing up and reviewing legal documents, to conducting research, my work never feels insipid or mundane. There is always something new to learn, skills to home in on or enhance, interpersonal relationships to form and strengthen, clients to positively impact and assist, and personal and professional growth opportunities. The legal field is vast and dynamic in terms of the services it offers, as well as impactful and life-changing. My commitment to assisting others is demonstrated in the legal and administrative acumen I have developed during my professional career. My passion and competence are inextricably linked. I have strong organization and time management skills. I speak two fluent languages and have a background in six others. I am proficient in using Microsoft Suite, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, etc. I have experience employing databases to conduct research, assisted in drafting and editing motions and depositions, memorandums of law, contracts, and other litigation documents, and provided support in compiling exhibits for court filings. I have managed and organized hundreds of client records, physical and digital, maintained employee payroll records and other litigation and non-litigation files, and managing customer relationship management systems. I aspire to pursue law and become a practicing attorney. My areas of interest include immigration, human rights, international and corporate law. Outside of the legal realm, I relish watching true crime and history documentaries: reading classic, poetry, mystery, literary, and women's novels. I enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities. Above all else, I love to travel.
