From an early age, growing up in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, I knew I wanted to work in the art and design industry. This became especially apparent to me when I got in trouble for stealing my dad’s socks to make dresses for my dolls. While earning my BFA in Apparel Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, I nurtured this passion studying fashion, painting, and color theory. My favorite part of the program was picking fabric for my collections. Post-graduation I shifted my focus from garment design to print design and now have a fulfilling career doing what I love. Working at companies such as Walmart, Macy’s, Calvin Klein, Greg Norman and High Sierra I gained invaluable experience that has prepared me to work as an independent licensing print designer. Using traditional hand-drawing techniques, watercolor and gouache painting, and digital design I create prints that are inspired by fashion history, global art, and the beauty of nature. To build a print collection that speaks to today’s every-changing aesthetic, I am always conscious of composition, color, and detail. versatile collection of designs that are original, commercial, and trend focused. My diverse portfolio of painterly florals, intricate geometric repeats, and fun conversational illustrations are meticulously executed to appear effortless.
