In 2017 the school was ranked by US News among the top-100 business schools, and #1 in placement of full time students upon graduation. Prastacos joined Stevens from AUEB where he was a member of the faculty and served as the University’s Rector (2007-2011) and Founding Director of the MBA International Program (1999-2007). Among Prastacos’ accomplishments at AUEB were the spearheading of the internationalization of the University, the growth in external funding, the launching of several joint degree programs with European Universities, the establishment and accreditation of AUEB’s International MBA Program (ranked #1 in Greece and #10 in Europe), the growth of research and improvement in research rankings, and the establishment of the Confucius Institute of Athens (co-funded by the Chinese government), and of the Chair of International Entrepreneurship (funded by the Indian government).
