I have helped colleges and universities develop renewable energy projects, watershed improvements, waste mitigation strategies, and more. I have been responsible for sustainability initiatives at the campus, regional, and state scales. Along the way I have saved institutions money, developed new degree pathways, and worked with students, faculty, staff members, boards of trustees, and alumni to make institutions more sustainable. I am also an award-winning teacher with a long history of innovation and effectiveness in the college classroom. I teach by building relationships with students. I know those relationships, and clear communication, are at the heart of the teaching/learning process - and at the heart of sustainability.
