My research experience is primarily in economics and econometrics, where in addition to traditional linear models and causal inference tools I have also used survival analysis and network econometrics to infer potential causal effects in different settings. At the Federal Reserve Board I studied the duration in which a country is excluded from borrowing in international capital markets after defaulting on their sovereign debt. Additionally, in my personal work I have use network models to study whether social connections via Facebook between counties which utilize certain social programs at higher rates influences their "friend" counties to also utilize the same programs more.
