Missing the comforts of home, specifically, the food and found that there was no where to acquire authentic South African food in San Diego. The idea of starting a business that provided traditional South African food began. Between Graham's expertise in creating traditional savory South African foods like currys, Boerewors, Biltong, Drywors and Biryanis and Mary Louise's exceptional ability to make authentic desserts and meat pies, pairing their skills together created success. With the continued support of the South Africans in the U.S and with help of their children, Graham and Mary Louise have continued to grow Perkys.
