As a Food Safety Manager for Compass Group, I manage the day-to-day growth of the Food Safety and Workplace Safety Cultures within our teams. Supporting and providing solutions, best-practices and guidance to the nuances of local, Federal and Corporate food safety and operational safety guidelines. From the hourly associate to the Senior Leadership group, everyone is an important part of the process. With a strong emphasis on training, educating and monitoring of best practices, my job ensures that guests receive the safest, highest quality food possible and that all members of our team are working and operating in a supportive and SAFE environment. My Goal is ensuring that all members of the team are comfortable to ask questions, search for safe innovative food processes and reach out for any support needed. I stay updated on the latest trends in food safety, recalls, food product concerns, ergonomics and physical safety systems to not only keep Compass Group safe but also to ensure our customers and clients would never dream of anyone else providing for their culinary needs! Currently Supporting the Compass Sectors of: Bon Appétit, Eurest Western, South, Gas & Oil Divisions and Foodworks. The industries Compass serve never slow down or sleep, and the same goes for Food and Physical Safety. At the end of the day, if my teams can perform their jobs hassle free, the guest is provided for seamlessly and everyone goes home safely, then I know I’ve done my job completely.
