I am in my last throws of my working life and still enjoying it. I started my working life as an apprentice at RAF Halton in Buckinghamshire and will complete my working life at Humberside Airport looking after apprentices for BAE Systems working with the "Resource Group". I had the opportunity last year to accept a 3 day working week and I can only say what an opportunity that was. So hopefully next year I will retire after 50 years in the aerospace industry so, I guess, that will be my legacy.I have not put any of the places I served in here as it would have been too long a tale!!! So suffice to say I have had a unique working experience and have enjoyed every minute of it. By trade I am an aircraft mechanical engineer but have experience in avionics too, as I spent 6 years as a "crew chief" at RAF Kinloss. I also have spent many years working on helicopters culminating in a 4 year spell as Flight Sergeant IC "B" Flight 22 Squadron Search & Rescue Flight at Wattisham Airfield near Ipswich in Suffolk.
