In my experience there trend towards focusing on the latter. This leads to work arounds, poor investigations and assumed answers when conducting a root cause analysis, instead of letting the investigation lead you to the actual cause. This results in issues reoccurring because the corrective actions implemented were never addressing the correct problem. I believe in open minded investigations where the data and facts will not only lead to the correct root cause but will also help determine robust corrective actions and next steps to prevent future occurrences of the issue. Although I understand that there must always be a balance between on time delivery and quality, I have always believed that a successful product is one that can be delivered issue free, on time, every time. Highlights: • Responsible for leading deep drill problem solving team that implemented successful overhaul of problematic machining process • Conducted numerous corrective action investigations utilizing an array of RCCA tools such as Pareto charts, FMEAs, 5Ys etc. • Conducted training for quality inspectors to ensure supplier First Article Inspections were reviewed correctly and met the requirements of AS9102 • Data driven decision maker with numerous instances of removing supplier issues and improving on time deliveries
