Grace Burleson is a I am a multi-disciplinary design researcher and educator focused on advancing engineering design processes so that solutions lead to improved social and environmental outcomes. I am an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder and P.I. of the Burleson Global Design Group. I hold a PhD in Design Science from the University of Michigan and a dual MS in Anthropology and Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University. I have led research initiatives within a variety of socially-engaged engineering programs, including ASME’s Engineering for Change, NASA’s Convergent Aeronautics Solutions Project, and MAPLE Microdevelopment-Uganda.
