During my 36 years in the management and care of public and private trees, the resources are now available to demonstrate that trees are community Infrastructure and provide real measurable benefits. Our communities receive enhanced air quality, energy conservation, storm water interception, property values, stress reduction, and shade from the presence of trees. I continue to serve on the key industry professional association boards and committees, and provide training presentations, event organization, and leadership. Achieving the Registered Consulting Arborist designation has supported the high quality inspection and report writing services I provide my clients. My goals are to enhance the understanding and use of tree care industry standards, improve the way trees are grown in the commercial nurseries, improve the care of young trees, improve commitment to tree protection and tree canopy development in communities, and provide evidence trees improve air quality, conserve energy, and improve quality of life in measurable terms. Specialties: Tree health assessments; Tree risk assessments; tree value and benefits; Tree maintenance standards and training; urban forest practices and management plans; Community engagement process. Our products help to reduce tree and infrastructure conflicts, and enhance tree health. Root Block Root Deflectors protect infrastructure from root conflicts. Mulch Guide Mulch Collars protect trees from killer mulch volcanoes. Terrewalks recycled plastic modular sidewalk panels offer effective alternatives to concrete and asphalt. Less than two inches thick, they can be placed directly over tree roots. In the future, if root maintenance is needed, the panels are picked up, and replaced after the root work is completed. No waste, the appearance stays the same, and the panels offer storm water permeability.
