I began with a monthly education column, School Matters, in the Faribault Daily News. I have also published articles in Girlfriends magazine and the Minnesota Women's Press. I am most proud of submitting and having accepted for publication, seven articles for the Minneapolis StarTribune -- Family Pages. Unfortunately, that section has recently been eliminated. I have taken several classes and workshops in writing for children at the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis and through the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, of which I am a member. I have taught classes in writing and crafts for kids at our local art center. As of March 2014, I am hoping to find an agent or publisher for my middle grade novel, Disappearances.
