I retired in 2016 and started a PhD in Liverpool University, researching public inquiries in the NHS. After 6 years part-time research I abandoned the Doctorate due to family circumstances. I was very involved with Liverpool Law Society, being president in 2013-14. I was Chair of the local Association of Women Solicitors group from 2002 to 2006. I am a member of the Liverpool Medicolegal Society. I was chair of an NHS Research Ethics Committee for over 10 years. I now sit on a Liverpool University Research Ethics Committee and a Research For Patient Benefit Committee. I am a Director of Merseyside Dementia Friendly Radio. I am an active Soroptimist
