Currently, I am Director of Product & Engineering at Mind the Bridge, an innovation advisory firm based in the US and Europe, where I lead the product and engineering teams for MTB Ecosystem, an online marketplace and matchmaking platform for open innovation powered by AI. I've gone through the entire product cycle from building the initial prototypes to driving the product strategy and growth, hiring and growing a team, conducting market research and user interviews, and establishing robust software development practices and workflows. In 2020, I got awarded a Ph.D. from the University College of London with multidisciplinary research encompassing the fields of construction, manufacturing, robotic fabrication, and applied machine learning for design-to-production workflows - conducted as part of the Innochain Research Network (EU H2020, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions). Focusing on timber manufacturing, the research investigates a series of robotic training methods for synthesizing and integrating manufacturing knowledge at an early stage of design processes to enable the exploration of novel design opportunities informed by fabrication tools and timber material properties. In parallel, I had the privilege to work as a Teaching Fellow and Thesis Advisor for the M.Arch. Design for Manufacture at the University College of London, where we explored the potential of digital fabrication and computational design applied to construction and product design. After completing my research studies, I moved to San Francisco thanks to a Fulbright BEST Fellowship focused on open innovation, entrepreneurship, and management to complement my technical expertise. There, I joined 500 Startups, one of the world's leading accelerators and most active venture capital firms, as a Venture Data Analyst. Previously, I received a B.Arch. in Architectural Sciences at IUAV University of Venice and an M.Sc. in Integrative Technologies and Architectural Design Research at the University of Stuttgart.
