After one year in the Young Athletes marketing department, it was time to gain some functional experience within the digital world. The overall broadly orientated masters degree from Rotterdam School of Management matches my personality in that I have always been interested in all facets of doing business. This master furthermore seemed a logical next step after completing my liberal arts and sciences degree with a major in International Business from the University of San Francisco. With this broad focus, it is my goal to start working in a business that is also broadly orientated; with a variety of tasks at hand for me. Before and during my period in the United States, soccer has played a significant role in my life. Having participated at the highest level of athletics in the United States shows my ability to manage my time effectively, deliver quality work, as well as a level of discipline that is particularly found in college athletes. The time spent in the United States further sparked my interest in working in an international setting, as my team was composed of players coming from nine different nationalities. Furthermore, I am an outgoing person that is strong in communication and likes social interaction. These qualities and interests, combined with my broad educational background as well as my experience in teams, made me extremely excited to further develop myself within Nike.
