G.T.C. deals also with shellac, the only natural resin used as film-coating by pharma and food industries.In the hydrocolloids market G.T.C. is present with many specialties, absolutely unique for their performance in terms of rheological and organoleptic effect on the finished products. One of the most important product line is represented by the QSA agar agar. Agar agar is extracted from red seaweeds and in the QSA form is able, according to the variety chosen, to jellify, thicken or simply stabilise, without any other visible effect, every type of formulation where is present some water. Another peculiarity of QSA, differently from the standard agar agar, is the possibility to be dissolved in 1 minute at 80 °C and so to be used in continuous production process. Me and my staff in G.T.C. are every day implementing our experience on new applications and new hydrocolloids thanks to a very strict co-operation with very specialised producers operating both in seaweeds and in seeds extraction. Depolimerised Tara gum and Guar fibre are only two of the last new entry in our product list.
