Gianmarco Giacchina Email & Phone Number | Born in Palermo, on september 2, 1990, I graduated with honors in Industrial Design at Università degli Studi di Palermo in 2013 with a thesis about the design, ergonomy and interface of a car dashboard. During my studies, I developed several projects (individuals and teamworks) among which the design of forniture objects using wasted materials and a not motorized competition vehicle. Since december 2011 to april 2012 I worked as a trainee in Velarredo srl, modelling furnished spaces and kithcens. In 2013 I moved to Turin, where I attended the European Master in Science in Transportation Design at IAAD (Istituto d'Arte Applicata e Design) in collaboration with Volkswagen Group in which I developed a team-project thesis with Porsche about the design of the new Porsche 911. This project was chosen by Porsche as one of the two best projects in order to realize a 1:4 scale model. In graphic design field I realized several logo, for different clients. Between 2016 and 2017 I worked as Design consultant freelance for Syhdee Italia srl. On April, 13 of 2016 I took part in the workshop "Car Design: tra bellezza estetica e meccanica" at University of Palermo, as spokesman. Since September 2017 to March 2018 I worked as automotive and product design intern in "BorromeoDeSilva srl" (Milan). During my internship I took part in many design projects for important clients such as Garage Italia Customs, Dallara Automobili, Genesis, and Ferrari and worked with a team of very skilled and professional people. I was also involved in graphic design and branding projects. On June 2018 I moved to MotorK, digital automotive company in Milan, where I worked for six months as UI/Visual Designer. In MotorK I worked on web design projects such as wireframes, graphic for websites and banners. Currently I joined the Digitouch Group as UI/Ux Designer.
