Among the many global exhibitions associated with the “Made in Italy” of the last 45 years within the world of Art, Design, Fashion & Photography, he was the coordinator of the Opening Ceremony Fashion Show of the Football World Cup “Italia 90” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwYgruXNO2o) held at the S. Siro Stadium of Milan. In 1986 - in the middle of the cold war - he designed the MISS PHOTO USSR beauty contest, first in the history of the former Soviet Union (which attracted 108,000 aspiring models), to usher Eastern European girls onto the catwalks; marking the end of the Swedish & American models “monopoly”. That same year he also featured the CRESPI TROPHY - Challenges of plastic, a biennial award (voluntarily closed at its 10th edition in 2005) with the book BTF 05 including introduction by Franca Sozzani & postface by Anna Piaggi. Resulting to be the first to unveil the importance of Fashion Design Schools & was considered, for two decades, “the most reliable incubator of aspiring designers”, by the international press of Milan Fashion Week. From 1985 to 1992 has been Strategic Marketing Consultant for fashion-related exhibition, events & fashion shows of National Chamber of Italian Fashion, and between 1985 & 1988 he was external correspondent of the Italian weekly newsmagazine L’Espresso. He has been writing and painting for about 45 years. In 1990 representatives of the American & British Press listed him among the world’s top 20 Art Directors in the organisation of cultural major events. In 1991 he was awarded a Honoris Causa Degree in Philosophy in New York & in 1992 he was awarded for humanitarian merits by the Knight’s Cross of Malta. Thanks to his very rare competence in «strategic communication», he was appointed master professor of New Communication Strategies for the development & organisation of Major Events from 2002 to 2009, within the experimental course of the multimedia visual arts majors at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome.
