George Simpson Email & Phone Number | I started a mechanical engineering apprenticeship from leaving school, which consisted of a 1 year fulltime at college, 1 year full time in work and 2 years part time college. I passed out of apprenticeship with a HNC in mechanical engineering, and a good knowledge of electrical from level 3 qualifications. Whilst still an apprentice, I was poached for a job in the R&D section of Rotork, where I have worked for 2 years, prior to this I spent time in production learning assembly and material handling, the office learning the systems used and a handful of other positions around the business in order to be a well rounded employee. Whilst in working in the development lab, I got the great opportunity to travel to Italy on two occasions in 2019 to perform some testing at our sister factory, which had the machinery capable to perform the testing required.
