Gavin Fraser Email & Phone Number | I am currently acting in my capacity as a member of the Advisory Committee of a Charitable Trust benefiting the education of under-privileged children in Jersey and taking on interesting non-executive director roles following the completion of the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Level 7 Diploma. My working experience includes 28 years of activity in finance, developing businesses from scratch in South Africa, Middle East, Far East, Europe, Offshore Islands and the United Kingdom for an investment company, bank and major insurance company. This includes 16 years to become a Global Sales Director, 5 years in a banking investment advisory role in Jersey, and before that 7 years as the Channel Islands head of a large UK Insurance Company. However, after graduating with a B.Ed (Hons) Degree, I started life as a teacher in Surrey, England, for the first 7 years of my career, so I was delighted to postpone retirement in 2013 and join the Jersey International Business School to lecture in Financial Services and assist the development of Jersey as an Educational destination for local and overseas students. With the experiences gained as a Business Development Director, for two years I was utilising the skills gained in selecting, recruiting, training and developing staff in the financial services industry. This was my opportunity to give something back to new degree students wishing to start their careers in a premier International Finance Centre. I have also been very fortunate for a year to assist the Jersey Football Association, as an Executive Director with commercial responsibilities, during their 100th Muratti Vase Season by creating a very special celebration to mark the occasion. I was very honoured to have been a Past Captain at La Moye Golf Club in Jersey, from March 2013 to March 2014, and I still enjoy this championship course as a member.
