So, what do we bioinformaticians do? We use programming languages (like python) and statistics to make better sense of biological data (genes, proteins). Currently, I am working on a project on breast cancer. So, as you guess, I am passionate about research. During my undergrad days in Bangladesh, I researched on type-2 diabetic animal models on the pharmacology lab of North South University, Dhaka. There, I completed my Bachelors of Pharmacy and Masters of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy. In my continuous pursuit to improve my skills as a researcher, I moved to Australia and now learning how to manage, analyse and interpret biological data efficiently. I am deeply thankful for the learning opportunity I am getting from the scientists in my field. Nonetheless, it is a complex subject, and there is a lot to learn.
