During my Ph-D research I laid down the mathematical formulation and the practical implementation of Wave Field Synthesis (WFS). Developed and experimented the first Direct Sound Enhancement system based on WFS. I developed and introduced various innovative concepts to the pro-audio industry such as the very first beam optimization algorithm for loudspeaker arrays, the analysis of sound fields using Holographic Near Field measurements and a new hybrid PSM-BEM model to improve simulation and optimization of LF cardioid arrays. Also developed 3D simulation software used for acoustic simulation, system design/optimization, array optimization and prediction of acoustic parameters such as STI. More recently, focusing on optimized 3D beamforming and WFS and the combination of both using planar loudspeaker arrays. I have wide ranging experience in designing, simulating and commissioning high-performance, state-of-the-art sound systems for Transportation, Hospitality, Entertainment, Houses of Worship etc. providing high levels of Clarity and Speech Intelligibility. I have a record of writing and presenting scientific/engineering papers, contributing to expert panels at international conferences and educating sound system designers/users.
