Estrella Damian Email & Phone Number | Growing up in Northwest Denver, I learned early on that the only constant is change. Writing allowed me to create space for myself to navigate the ever-changing social landscape of our city and my role within it. During my three years working with Housing and Residential Education at the University of Denver, I realized my passion for socially conscious leadership and became committed to creating the kind of community I want to live in. In June 2021, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and minors in Writing Practices, Criminology, and Media, Film & Journalism Studies. I then restored a DPS high school library after the space had been abandoned and used as storage due to the pandemic. The following year, I was hired as a Library Program Associate at my local Denver Public Library. This role has allowed me to engage with my community in a whole new way. I have made connections with various community members and organizations who align with DPL's values, growing my love for outreach and community engagement. I have also built upon my social media management skills as marketing liaison for my branch, and have expanded my network by serving as Secretary of REFORMA CO. Although I love where I am currently at, I am excited for what is to come in the future. I strive to continue to service the city of Denver in meaningful, tangible ways and am always open to connect with those on a similar mission!
