My musical journey has been a remarkable adventure, filled with meaningful experiences and opportunities to make a positive impact. Collaborating with renowned school programs such as Carnegie Hall Musical Explorers, Lincoln Center Education, Midori and Friends, and 92Y, I've witnessed the transformative power of music firsthand. It's incredibly rewarding to see the smiles on young faces and ignite their passion for music and creativity. In addition to my work with educational initiatives, I also had the incredible opportunity to contribute to the United Nations Department of Public Information for five years. This experience exposed me to diverse cultures and perspectives, teaching me the importance of unity and understanding in our global community. It's this mindset that I bring to everything I do now, aiming to create harmonious connections and partnerships through diplomacy in every area of my life. One of the significant milestones in my career was the Grammy win in 2023 for Best Latin Jazz Album with "Fandango At The Wall Live in NY", an invitation by Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra and producer Kabir Sehgal. This prestigious recognition stands as a testament to the power of traditional music to unite countries and bridge the cultural divide. In 2019 the journey of our symphonic project with the Villalobos Brothers began in earnest at the majestic Davis Hall in California, where we had the honor of performing alongside the San Francisco Symphony. This project allowed us to expand our musical horizons, blending the richness of Mexican folk traditions with the grandeur of a symphony orchestra. Since then we have taken this project to many symphonies throughout the country, always with the commitment to invite marginalized audiences into the concert hall while creating powerful musical experiences. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities I've had to share my music and connect with audiences worldwide. Music has the power to uplift, inspire, and heal. As I continue on this adventure, my mission remains to foster unity and spread the joy that comes from the universal language of music.
