I think automation and infrastructure as code version controlled in Git has a substantial advantage compared to ad-hoc, reactive, manual ways of setting up systems, deploying applications or managing tasks. Building proactive automation flows with Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, using cert-manager and letsencrypt instead of traditional certificate management is the modern and right way of doing things. Automation workflows is the way to go. I have also worked with systems integration in the past, as well as PKI and various databases (psql, mysql, mssql, etc). I have recently been developing small projects in my free time using Go which I find is a really nice language. cURL has been an invaluable tool that I utilise often and extensively.
