For my background, went to college and drop-out senior year. during that hard period, I was blessed with a former employer which gave me the opportunity to go to school again and do the Electrical NCCER for over 2 years of class work; and still work as an Apprentice. I remember after 2 years on the field i was send to do a 3 month project with a green helper. the scope of the project consisted of intrumentation/electrical. There was more than 20 instrument installation, some PT, TT, FT, Coriolis meter, LTs. Also had 4 - 480v motors installation. Did Conduit/tubing and heat trace intallation. We pull all new wire and installed 4 new juntion boxes, extended PLC termination points for this project. I was given the opportunity to Commission this aceitic acid unit. For my 2 years on the field I was blessed to get that opportunity since I was resposible of getting the job done on time and safely. Supervision believe in my dedication to keep moving foward to support my family. I followed safety, NEC code and plant regulations. I feel this project mark my success on the electrical/intrumentation field. Now i still keep moving forward learning new things. My main focus is electrical and instrumental, but i been doing more QC and power electrical work on my current position. Also I have work hard to improve my PLC skills. I been focusing on improving my RSlogix 5000 and rs500 skills, which now I feel more comfortable as I/E technician knowing PLC side of things.
