After spending time in the Persian Gulf on an Aircraft Carrier I decided it was time to transition to Civilian Life. Wow what a difference six years and time in other countries can make on you. Transitioning to civilian life was not as easy as I thought. I didn't even know what a VA loan was until my Realtor at the time told me about it. My time and training in the Navy helped me land a job at Micron Technology where I spent the next 16 years transitioning to civilian life and growing a lot. I started there at 24 years old and got laid off at 40. I wasn't sure what to do for a job as it was during the biggest downturn since the great depression. So I took my 401K that had been hacked to pieces and started investing in Single family homes. After I ran out of money I decided to get a Real Estate license to help others invest in Real Estate as well. Being in the downturn and the fact that I had three kids to support I took on a job selling cars where I learned a lot about customer service. Three years of that and the economy had made a come back so I went to a job with consistent income. I missed Real Estate so I got my license back and after a couple years I realized it is just not the path I was meant to be on. So now I have a 40 hour a week job and am on the other side of Real Estate looking for multi family units.
