Elissa was the Federal Co-Chair of the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Coordinating Committee of Senior Officials – Family Justice. She commenced her legal career in the private sector devoting her practice for the most part to family law matters. Elissa has been actively involved as a volunteer and board member on various boards and agencies in the Ottawa community over the past thirty years, primarily in the area of social services and education, and has been formally recognized for her leadership abilities.
