I completed residencies in pediatrics and physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic and am board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Board of Pediatrics, and hold specialty certification in pediatric rehabilitation. ▶Research and/or publication topics include: -NIH Rett Syndrome Natural History Study -Low-magnitude mechanical stimulation on bone density in patients with Rett syndrome. -CDC’s National Spina Bifida Registry (NSBR) at UCSF -Committee for Science and Publications where I served as a peer reviewer for NSBR research manuscripts generated nationally - Authored chapters in the 2010, 2015, and 2019/2020 Pediatric Rehabilitation Principles and Practice textbook that is used nationally and internationally. ▶Lectures: —Nationally and internationally on mucopolysaccharidosis, spina bifida, cerebral palsy and Rett Syndrome —Stanford University colleagues, students, and residents on various research projects with particular focus on teaching, imparting information, and publication of medical research.
