He will participate in research in Dr Gerard Vockley laboratory. Previously, he was a Specialist in Regulation of the Brazilian National Private Health Insurance Agency (ANS) and Doctor of the Municipal Health Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro. He published 16 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 66 papers in conference proceedings. From 1981-1995, he was engaged in the fields of Microbiology and Parasitology, having directed two end of term assignments in these areas. Since 1995, he has been working in the areas of Prenatal and Neonatal Screening and Diagnosis of Inborn Errors of Metabolism. He has published seven articles on maternal serum markers of prenatal Down's Syndrome, including one in an international journal. In addition, we highlight his 22 papers published in conference proceedings on the application of tandem mass spectrometry and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry in the diagnosis of Inborn Errors of Metabolism. He worked in the ANS from November 2005 to February 2020, where he participated in the review of the mandatory coverage of private health plans and also contributed in publications of Health Technology Assessment sponsored by the ANS. From 2018 to 2020, in the ANS, he engaged in the design of a Primary Healthcare Certification for Insurance and Plans in the Private Health Sector.
