Additionally, I have used land based tracking methods along with boat based tracking to observe the movement and habitat use of cetaceans in Skjálfandi bay, NE-Iceland during summer. During winter, I am a lecturer at the University of Iceland at both graduate and undergraduate levels (e.g. marine ecology, mammology, invertibrate zoology, and general biology). Additionally, I have supervised masters students. I enjoy participating in project which aim at bringing science to people. I have published an audio book about the acoustic behaviour of the humpback whale in Icelandic waters. I provided the newly established whale museum in Reykjavík, called Whales of Iceland, with the complete information material at their exhibition. I part-take in educational programs for kids where I get the chance to teach them about the wonders of whales and their oceanic environment. These programs are "The University of the Young" (Icelandic: "Háskóli Ungafólksins") and the "University-Train" (Icelandic: "Háskólalestin")
