Ed Sagen Email & Phone Number | I started a 25 year career as a biomedical technician with the US Air Force in 88. I joined the Air Force to "see the world" which turned out to be San Antonio, Wichita Falls, and Lubbock, Texas. I finished my enlistment and started with the great folks at South Plains Biomedical Services where I worked until 2000. I worked in all sizes of hospitals from nearly 500 beds at St. Mary's in Lubbock to small clinics on Indian reservations in Northern New Mexico. I truly loved my time with that team and if I could have moved Lubbock to a prettier part of the world, we would still be with them today. I moved to Medtronic Perfusion systems, traveling, working on perfusion pumps and cell savers. Then I found my home, Trinity Mother Frances. The Sisters working with patients on the nursing floor, just like in Lubbock, the staff in the O.R. the crew in the biomed shop. It was where I wanted to be. I let them know I was interested, and was hired just 2 months after 9/11. I was ready to be off the road. After a couple of years, the lead tech stepped down and I stepped into the new roll. What a team I was surrounded with, some great techs. I got to be with that team for 8 years. It was a great job. I had earned my bachelors at Wayland Baptist University in Lubbock and started taking classes towards my engineering degree. When I got to the point where I had to start taking classes during business hours, I couldn't be both a student and team leader so I had to make the decision to leave and finish my engineering degree.
