During my last year I also started working for Altech UEC. My initial purpose was to assist with the planned factory move, but I also took on a permanent position as a process engineer. During my time at UEC I was in charge of the SMD machines in the PCB building facility. I achieved the reward for Top Engineer and factory worker of the year in 2012. A opportunity came my way to go overseas and help Dürr with the commissioning of a paintshop in China. I took the change and loved the challenge to get a big project done in a short period of time. I was offered a permanent job and worked my way up from commissioning engineer to commissioning coordinator and later site manager. I did this job for 5 years all over the world. One of the best experiences I had all my life. At home in South Africa my dad is a stock farmer. It was always my dream to join him and farm together like he did with my grandfather. My grandfather passed away and I had to step in and do my part. At the moment I am farming together with my dad. Hard work and challenges is what I love.
