In 2006 he took up a position with Westpac in Bairnsdale as the Home Finance Manger. And in 2008 a position came up with the Paynesville and District Community Bank Branch and for six years he was the Branch Manager in Paynesville. Dealing with all aspects of finance and also community development and building a very successful and profitable branch over the six years that he was there. Duncan is a very community minded and has held positions on the local Sunrise Rotary Board, committee member and treasurer of the Paynesville Business and Tourism Association and is the current treasurer for the "Cooper Trewin Memorial SUDC Research Fund" which has established an international research project in conjunction with the Boston Children's hospital into the Sudden and Unexplained Death in Children.
