Dr Christy Allenpleasant is a I am a highly qualified educator of 15+ years. I am a dedicated Professor who focuses on a student centered approach to learning. I would like to classify myself as a diverse and non-traditional educator. I have taught students from different races, socioeconomic backgrounds, and ages. I have even had the opportunity to teach adult and developmental learners. I have had experience as a team leader in a variety of capacities as well. I am a certified K-12 guidance counselor, Ed Leader, I continue to volunteer in the K-12 system in Franklin Parish. I have a profound knowledge with assessments, curriculum, progress monitoring, and reading intervention strategies. I am currently an online Psychology Course Instructor for Western Governors University. During my time here I have organized Product Trainings, led team meetings, reorganized course tips, created course knowledge base, facilitated group sessions, and conducted presentations to the entire Teachers College. I graduated from Franklin Leadership in 2020 and participated in an 8 week leadership program at WGU.
