Prior to joining RPS he was the founder and chairman of ASSOC (the Association of Service Sector Oil-Related Companies) a lobbying organisation which successfully persuaded the UK government to stump up 250m in transitional relief to the oil and gas exploration sector following the abolition of Petroleum Revenue Tax (PRT) and its generous tax relief mechanisms. Previous employers include SGS and Corex UK. Douglas’ passions include sustainable development, the environment and current affairs. He is a keen supporter of TREE AID.
