Depending on the location of the project, these regulations might include the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), or a combination of these and myriad other potentially applicable pieces of legislation (e.g., National Historic Preservation Act, Endangered Species Act, Clean Air Act, etc.). I have worked with countless organizations and project proponents throughout the U.S. and its territories, and enjoy the constant learning process necessary to stay abreast of current environmental policies and the ever-evolving regulatory setting. My goals are pretty simple: 1) work hard, 2) play harder than I work, and 3) raise my sons to be good citizens of the planet. I am proud that I achieve the first two on a consistent basis, and prouder still that I seem to be on track to accomplish the last goal with flying colors.
