Why is it that so often we encounter the tired, antiquated and energy-draining mentality that says the success of one must come at the expense of another? I get my biggest buzz when I see barriers dissolve and an heretofore undiscovered commonality of purpose is found within and between teams (some closest to me would say the buzz actually comes from the Diet Mountain Dew, but lets stay on topic). Want to know the best part of this...the "secret sauce" as it were? When organizations really embrace this, inevitably it spills over into delighted customers. I've seen this happen in several technology companies. I enjoy being a part of it, and I'd like to think I'm getting pretty good and helping it to happen. It's awesome.
